Recent recommendations regarding this business are as follows: "I had a very prominent autographed item that i managed to get signed from a very famous individual as he was hailing a taxi. That alone was an experience of a lifetime. It was absolutely incredible how difficult it was to have any type of expert authenticate that signature, and the ones that did declared it to not be that of who signed it. That made me consider how many times I've written my name differently or signed my checks or documents in a hurry or differently than I normally would. That does not mean that I did not sign them. My recommendation would be that you research things yourself rather than it rely on a fly by night opinion in an authentication. Don't buy something unless you have a good backstory to where it came from put the pieces together of a puzzle that leads to what you're buying and determine then whether or not it's legitimate. In other words use your own brain and not reliant someone else's.", "nope".

Hearing more bad news about these people; I thought they had gotten over this "bad phase" they've been in for years now.
R and R has always seem a little shady to me even as far back as the mid to late 90's, when I first did business with them. Their prices seemed a little low on items that should have been fetching so many times more than they were and the converse was also true; low value items selling for a small fortune.
And the main thing that turned me off to them was the craploads of *** stars fully nude pictures (with autographs) and I doubt they were restricting the sales of these to those who were 18 and older. And as far as I can remember, around maybe 80% to 90% of their items are autographed photos; and autographed photos are, as any autograph collector should know, are the most suspect of near any autographed item you can find.
Anyways......I've opted not to deal with them anymore; I was hoping to put a high value item up for consignment but, I hear they take 40% right off the top. That's unacceptable any way you look at it when you can sell it for yourself, more safely, on more open markets, with more traffic for no less than 85% profit depending on how and where you sell.
User's recommendation: nope
Ruined my life
Bad for Sellers
Very poor if you are a seller! They have little to no organizational proceedures when turning in items to be sold, They had me stack all items in an area with other peoples items and warehouse is a mess with items stacked and scatered all over so you dont know what is being auctioned when. items are not evaluated for value even when they are told at time of consignment (they sold $500 worth of Scuba gear for $7.50).
Communication is only if you call them, and any unsold items are donated unless you are there to pick them up after the auction.
They charge 40% commission and charge $1.50 per item/lot even if items dont sell.
If you are a buyer you can get stuff cheap, but the seller losses.

RR Autograph Auctions sold me a Fake autograph...I recently submitted the Neil Armstrong signed Photograph , that they sold to me, to a authentication company called PSA DNA and they deemed it likely not authentic and refused to issue an authentication. They said the signature was A-Typical.
I contacted RR Auction and they offered to send it to PSA DNA themselves and they promised me that they could get the autograph authenticated. I told them that since PSA DNA already rejected the autograph then it is a fake and I wanted a refund. The only thing they offered me was for me to consign it in their next auction.
I wanted a refund but we were at an impasse and I will never buy from them ever again and I will not remain quiet about it. I will spread the word about this dishonesty.

BAD fakes
Did I go to the wrong website or something?I just clicked link on this site to check out RR Auction's website.www.rrauction.com was gonna check out some graphs for my leisure time viewing this evening. Related: RR Auction needs to add a few members to the team clicked on past auctions.
searched for the rock band kiss which I like a lot. I saw many fakes. they were obvious fakes. I searched then for Andy Griffith, another favorite of mine.
I clicked on one, and again fake. saw where they had Howard McNear floyd the barber listed too as a past sale. that is a rare name. again it looked fake.
so out of the 3 names I clicked on, I struck out on all 3 seeing fakes mingled in with some good stuff. nothing against rr auctions personally. I just see them advertising on this site and assumed I was gonna see the real deal on their site? and what boggles my mind is the fake kiss autographs.
they have the most recognizable trade mark logo looking signatures of any rock band I know of. forged ones are usually pretty easy to spot because kiss is pretty consistent with their sigs. but these fake kiss sigs on rr auction r childish looking. the one Andy Griffith I looked at was a forgery, not even the common secretarial.
and the Howard McNear?
nothing like I've seen. and all of that in maybe w me surfing that site for 2 minutes.

That's pitiful! Can you share more of your story to add a little bit of credibility to your claims?
If true.....I'd boycott these people too! I've been a customer off and on since the mid 90's and they always just struck me as not always on the up and up but, I ignored that gut feeling. I've been considering consigning a high value item with them that Heritage Auctions turned down because of it's projected value being bellow 5 grand. Heritage said "You might want to try RR......" but, they sounded kinda like it was ikky to even say the company name much less suggest them.
The only other option I've got is Ebay......and that market has zero predictability when selling high item collectables in my my experience. Anyone have any other suggestions than RR?
She was married, had an affair with the married autograph seller she was working with. He left his family and now they are living together.
They are selling autographs that his wife and children helped him get. The irony.....
